My very own "Catfish" story, WTF!!

So, most recently, I've been stalked/impersonated online. I watched "Catfish" (and LOVED THE DOCUMENTARY) about a week ago. No sooner, my husband Chris found another Taryn Mcfarlane on facebook, and that is fine. However, most look up their name and find atleast several tens of people with identical names. There are only four Taryn Mcfarlanes, two of which have the same pictures!!!! The other also resides in kentucky! AND HAS AN IDENTICAL HUSBAND AND CHILDREN! WTF! They have around 63 friends. Many of my friends and family have reported the profile as a fraud, but facebook hasn't acted yet. There isn't much I can do from my profile because cleverly they blocked me so I would never find out they jacked my name and photos. This is just crazy.. Happy F*ing Valenstalker Day!

I have to admit

Ok, getting to experience a white, powdery, serene snow day has scored Tehuacana MAYBE it's second tally mark in the "reasons we have enjoyed Tehuacana" column. I'll even admit, I went all five year old at midnight the night before, when we realized it was snowing. However when you aren't familiar with snow, you don't realize how painfully cold even the powder snow gets when you are playing with it. The next day I realized we are not equipped with snow playing gear. The pink cotton kohls gloves don't cut it, and every pair of shoes we have clearly don't belong walking through snow. Otherwise, I burned down the battery on the camcorder and took near a few hundred pictures! It was great! The slush for the next few days was depressing, but what can you do??

So Annoyed.

I feel like a homeless person. I want to light a barrel fire in the middle of my house to stay warm. This is ridiculous. The heater can't keep it warmer than 57°???? We have a problem. We don't pay electricity to NOT have heat. YEA, I can deal with the pipes still freezing....we can heat up water for the time being, but Brett doesn't need hypothermia. I hate this fucking house today. As soon as the sun is up, I'm calling out slum lord. Should I really have to hang giant blankets to cover windows, just so we can keep it atleast 60°? FML TODAY!

A catch 22?

We baked. Ok, I know it's not a catch 22. What is it when you are too lazy to leave the house and get a loaf of bread for dinner, but you would attempt to bake your own? Whatever it is I tried. I'd say failed. Chris would say not entirely. One stipulation on whichever recipe I used, no yeast. We found one. The outcome was a GIANT biscuit. Gag. NEEDLESS TO SAY... We still went to the grocery store and bought a loaf of bread. I'm over it.

Cookies on the other hand...they were good!!! Hard to screw up sugar cookies. Next step, perfect the recipe, execution of rolling dough, use of cookie cutters, and practice making cookie bouquets!!!

Hello 2011!

Happy new year, though I'm sure I wont acknowledge it in writing until ehhh... August. Every year it's just so hard to stop writing the previous year. Resolutions...hmm maybe this year I wil actually keep some. I'll do my best to try anyway.
1. As always, lose weight.... a lot.
2. Take atleast one picture everyday, so at the culmination of 2011 I will be able to make a "Year In Review" photo book. I love this one.

3. Be more "Beaver Cleaver" with the way I raise my girls. (more storytimes, play dates, arts and crafts, baking helpers, picnics in the park, minus the stray dogs.)
4. Be better, if ever I feel I'm lacking...
I feel like those are a good blanket of things I'd like to work on.



Chris and I got to attend, long time friend, K. Macs wedding. It was lovely! so many things about it were perfect. It was very eclectic, Great Gatsby-ish, rustic, sweet, tearful, and fun!! I loved seeing friends all the way back to elementary school. I was happy to be a part of it.

...that's all for now, baby is crying & tenderloin is done...all at once of course.
